Quick vegan brownies

Vegan, gluten-free, wheat-free, egg-free
Who can resist moist & crumbly chocolate orange brownies? Not me!!!
Quick & easy brownies are always a delicious treat!
This foolproof recipe is sure to make the perfect moist chocolate bake!

I used the Creative Nature 'Chia + Cacao' Brownie Mix
This mix is quick & easy to use and only requires margarine, an egg alternative (I use chia egg) and flavouring.

I don't normally use packet mixes, but as I was kindly sent this mix by the lovely people over at Creative Nature, I thought I would give it a go and was pleasantly surprised. The brownies taste scrumptious, light and moist. All of my family enjoyed them! Generally, I like to make my own recipes that are lower in sugar, but as a packet mix, these brownies are absolutely yummy and worth trying out. I would highly recommend it! :)

Preparation- 10-15 minutes
Baking time- 20-25 minutes
Serves- 10
Level- Easy

-5 tablespoons of chia seeds 
-15 tablespoons of water
-200g of dairy-free margarine (melted)
-2 teaspoons of orange extract

Step 1- Preheat the oven to 150 degrees c and line a square cookie tin with greaseproof paper.

Step 2- You can whizz up the chia seeds until fine, or leave them whole.

Step 3- In a small bowl, combine the chia seeds and water, this makes an egg substitute.
Pop in the fridge for 5 minutes to thicken and jellify.
Step 4- Pop the jellied chia seed mixture into a bowl and add in the melted margarine, orange extract and brownie mix.
Mix together until smooth.
Step 5- Pour the brownie mixture into the lined tin and pop into the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
You will know they are done when you put a knife or skewer in and it comes out clean and it's springy to the touch.

Step 6- Carefully take out the tin & place on a wire rack & leave to cool for around 10 minutes. 

Step 7- Cut the brownie into little squares & serve.

Serve with slices of juicy/zesty orange or go all out with ice-cream!
