Homemade almond butter recipe

Vegan, gluten-free, wheat-free, oil-free, 1 ingredient

Did you know almond butter is surprisingly easy to make?!!!
I was in the process of making a recipe and realized I had run out of almond butter.
I knew I had some whole almonds & decided to make my own. It turned out delicious so I had to share my recipe with you guys.

Homemade almond butter can be made within 30 minutes, and it only contains 1 ingredient....almonds!
Don't try to add any sweeteners or other ingredients because it can affect the almond nuts. They go creamy by themselves!

Preparation- 10 minutes
Roasting time- 5-10 minutes
Makes- 1 small jar
Level- Easy

Ingredients
-150g of whole almonds
...

Step 1- Pre-heat your oven to 180 degrees c and get out a baking tray.

Step 2- Place the almonds on the baking tray and pop into the oven for around 5-10 minutes until toasted.
Step 3- Place the toasted almonds into a food processor/blender and whizz up until smooth and creamy.
This will take around 15-20 minutes on high.

You will see a crumbly texture, then grainy....but don't worry, it turns into delicious creamy butter.

Store in a sealed container in the fridge and enjoy in cakes, spread over toast etc the choice is yours.
