Vegan 'Nutella'

Vegan, wheat-free, gluten-free, low sugar, natural sugar, quick & easy
Who doesn't like nuts & chocolate? Especially hazelnuts!
Nutella is a nut butter which is not suitable for vegans, but it is SO easy to make a vegan version which tastes absolutely divine!
Using only 6 ingredients, you can make some yummy nutty or smooth 'Nutella' which is dairy-free and contains natural sugars.
I used cacao to give the chocolaty flavour. Cacao has a wide range of health benefits, Read them here.
It's quick & easy to make and can be enjoyed within minutes start to finish.
Enjoy on toast, crackers or enjoy a cheeky spoon now and again, utterly delicious.

Preparation- 5 minutes
Cooking time- 5 minutes
Level- Easy

-200g of hazelnuts
-1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
-80g of maple syrup
-120ml of almond milk
-4 tablespoons of cacao powder
-Pinch of salt

Step 1- Pre-heat your oven to 180 degrees and line a baking tray with grease proof paper.

Step 2- Lay you hazelnuts onto the tray and pop into the oven to roast for 10 minutes (Don't let them burn)

Step 3- Place the roasted hazelnuts into a food processor/blender along with the vanilla extract, maple syrup, almond milk, cacao powder and salt.
Whizz up until smooth . This will take around 5 minutes on high. You can blend for 2-3 minutes for a more textured spread.
