RAW orange bars

Vegan, gluten-free, natural sugar, quick & easy
Who doesn't enjoy healthy food that tastes amazing with added health benefits?! Especially as these delightful & zesty orange bars are 100% raw, with no baking involved, a batch can be whipped up in less than an hour!

These little bars of goodness (and flavour) were inspired by my favourite drink right now... Fentimans Seville Orange. Oh gosh, this fizzy orange drink is ultra refreshing and thirst-quenching I had to make some divine orange flavoured treats.

These bars contain natural ingredients and naturally occurring sugars, whilst being gluten-free.
Perfect for breakfast or a yummy on the go snack!

Preparation- 5 minutes
Freezing time- 30 minutes
Level- Easy

-240g of gluten-free oats
-200g of dates (de-stoned)
-2 tablespoons of orange juice from concentrate (you could use orange extract)
-Zest and segments from 3 small oranges (Clementines or tangerines)
-Pinch of salt

Step 1- Line a square baking tray with grease proof paper.

Step 2- De-stone the dates and place them into a food processor along with the orange juice, zest and orange segments.
Whizz up until combined and set aside.
Step 3- In a mixing bowl, combine oats and salt.

Step 4- Place the date/orange mixture into the mixing bowl and mix until fully combined.

Step 5- Pour the mixture into the lined baking tray and press down until it is compact.
Pop into the freezer to set.
This will take around 30 minutes or an hour in the fridge.

Step 6- Once the orange slab has set, carefully cut them into bars and place onto a serving plate along with a sprinkling of icing sugar or ground oats, desiccated coconut and a slice of fresh, juicy orange.

Store in a sealed container.
