3 ingredient spicy flatbread recipe

Vegan, quick & easy

A 3 ingredient flatbread which contains no deep frying or yeast, perfect for a quick & easy snack, lunch or dinner.

These flatbreads are fluffy, soft and flavourful! They taste JUST like an Indian naan bread!

They’re also great to be used as a pitta bread or pizza base, just add on some tomato sauce, pizza toppings and pop it into the oven for a few minutes to melt your dairy-free cheese!

Perfect for dipping into curries, your favourite sauces, fill with salad etc…the choice is yours!

It’s extremely versatile!

Preparation- 5 minutes

Cooking time- Around 10 minutes

Makes- 6

Level- Easy

Ingredients

-250g of self-raising flour

-140ml of water

-2 tablespoons of light olive oil

-Spices of your choice (I chose garlic granules and chilli flakes)

Step 1- In a mixing bowl, add in the self-raising flour, water and oil.

Mix until a dough forms.

Step 2- Dust a clean work surface with flour and turn out your dough.

Step 3- Knead the dough until it comes together. Don’t over knead or it will become tough.

Step 4- Divide the dough into 6 pieces.

Step 5- Roll out the dough into a circle, not too thin.

Step 6- Brush some oil over the top of the flatbread and sprinkle over your chosen spices.

Step 7- Heat a frying pan and place on the flatbread and cook until golden in colour and the flatbread is puffy.

Serve whilst warm with a curry or enjoy cool with salad.

Oh my gosh I am so trying this ASAP! I flipping love flat breads, especially with home-made bean chili. I've always used yogurt or sour cream, but water seems so simple. Thanks for sharing!
